Southern Tier Alternative Therapies Inc. (STAT)
Southern Tier Alternative Therapies provides alternative therapy options to families of children with special needs. OUr goals are to enhance recovery, provide opportunity for self-directed involvement, create a sense of responsibility, imoprove social interaction and achieve independent functioning. STAT's current programs include The Riding Connection which provides scholarships to individuals with special needs to particpate in either Hippotherapy or Therapeutic Riding at private horseriding locations and The ProMISE Project which is a mentoring program in which college MSW interns work with high school teens at risk of dropping out of school.
