Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance

The mission of Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance is to create and supervise one-on-one, long-term relationships between caring adults and at-risk school children. We currently have more than 425 students who are matched with a mentor. Mentors provide both academic and social support for students, whcih often results in better attendance and grades. We seek to intervene early in the lives of students because we believe that success in school empowers young people to improve socio-economic conditions for themselves, their families, their community, and even future generations.
